Title: Vanishing Land-II
Medium: Charcoal on paper
Size: 19 x 14 cms
One of the most beautiful cities of the world, Venice, may soon have to abandon its nickname of The Floating City, since it is sinking quicker than what was believed. The twenty-first century has witnessed an unprecedented wave of environment and climate change that threatens to change geographies across the world. An imaginative rendering of Venice, this sketch expresses my concern regarding global warming, by symbolically showing balance between land and water and wishing for a better future.
