    Title: Dreaming Connaught Place

    This sculpture is inspired by the sight of two smack addicts in the corridors of Connaught Place (Delhi) during my residency program at the Religare Arts Initiative in the year 2009. In the middle of the crowded market, the hallucinogenic effect of the drugs makes the addicts oblivious to the world. As they clutch their pillows, it takes them to a lighter space where dreams, as light as butterflies, can be released into the world.
