Title: Jiya's Cushion

Medium: Wood, Bronze

Size: 42 x 40 x 52 cms

In this sculpture I have captured the notorious expression of a small girl `Jiya', who doesn't want to let her cushion part away from her. Softness of the cushion is compared to the tenderness of a child who wants to hold on to her object of comfort. Jiya is representative of everyone who strives to retain that tender, soft part of them while putting up a tough exterior, much like the wood and bronze, from which the sculpture is created.
