The pins on the cushion in this sculpture are emblematic of the human condition where while aspiring for luxury one is ready to undergo difficulties and tribulations. The hair pins that hold the hair together need to be removed while lying down and resting, or else they can become a source of discomfort. This sculpture imagines, through the lens of everyday objects, the complexities of human aspirations.
