This sculpture brings together a pin and a cushion to portray that moment in life where comfort and discomfort meet and interact with each other. While the cushion suggests comfort and security, the hair pin symbolizes struggle and anxiety. The same hair pin which supports and holds the hair needs to be removed while lying down or resting, or else it can become a source of discomfort. Such pluralities of human existence are captured in everyday objects.
